Description
Dairy products refer to food items that are based on milk. The primary raw material for producing various dairy products is usually cow’s milk. However, milk from other mammals such as goats, sheep, buffaloes, and others is sometimes used as well. A factory or facility where dairy products are produced is called a dairy plant or dairy factory.
Dairy products can cause issues for individuals with lactose intolerance or milk allergies. Excessive consumption of dairy products may lead to increased cholesterol and saturated fats in the body, potentially causing heart disease and other dangerous health conditions. Contrary to popular belief, consuming dairy does not increase mucus production or worsen symptoms of colds or asthma.
